I got to see the baby again today through the ultrasound. The heartbeat was good. I went in today because of some cramping and some very light spotting. Everything looked normal and the dr. said all was good, but I was a little nervous and kept thinking about the miscarriage I had in November. Please say a little prayer that everything stays healthy. Thanks.

Well, we just got home from our little weekend in Natchez, Mississippi. As usual, we had a nice time and really enjoyed the quiet little historic town. It is nestled right on the Mississippi River, just across the bridge from Louisiana. There are tons of old Plantation homes to tour and downtown is nothing but historic town homes, old businesses and little points of interest. The Natchez graveyard is amazing. We visit that every time we go to Natchez. The great thing about Natchez is the history and the charm of the downtown area. It’s very similar to that of the French Quarter, only much less crowded, much cleaner and slower paced. Many of the buildings are supposed to be haunted. Last time, we took the midnight ghost tour and that was a lot of fun.
If you ever need a quick little weekend getaway spot, Natchez is perfect. It’s only 2 1/2 hours from our home and it’s just such a relaxing place.

Well, I am further along with this pregnancy than I was when I miscarried my last one. Also, my symptoms are much more noticeable this go round. I am hopeful that this time everything is ok, but I still worry in the back of my mind. I have yet to buy anything babyish, but I have started looking and trying to think of cute nursery ideas. After trying for so long, it’s still a little surreal and it’s hard for me to look too far ahead, but as each day passes, I get a little more confidant that things will progress normally.
